On August 20th the RONS Club was put up for
auction and was purchased by a group of
young men for $120,000.00. They plan on
fixing the property up and flipping it. I
would like to thank all the neighbors who
took the time to participate in the online
survey and also those who took the time to
participate in the meetings that were
conducted to discuss the viability of
purchasing the club for the neighborhood. It
was an exciting topic for sure and one that
neighbors felt very passionate about.
Unfortunately, the sustainability of
maintaining and fixing the property at this
time as a community did not seem feasible.
It is great that someone is fixing up the
property and hopefully it will bring value
to our neighborhood.
